Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you located?
Sessions are offered from a private address is the Cashes Green district of Stroud. Full details are provided by way of confirmation when an appointment is booked. The postcode to assist travel arrangements is GL5 4RQ
Is this a group organisation, will I definitely receive my experience with Amanda?
I am the only person offering sessions and I currently take care of all aspects of this business so yes, you will definitely be receiving your experience with me, Amanda.
Do you have any boundaries?
Yes please. There is a fixed boundary of no form of penetration received (to vagina/anus/mouth with finger/tongue/penis/toy). I don't invite you to touch my yoni/sex and there is no genital-to-genital contact. I ask that you cancel your appointment should you show symptoms of or discover you have any infectious illness including STD's and common-cold, influenza, c-19 etc
Other "soft boundaries" are decided upon during the session.
Will we have full penetrative sex at any point?
No thank you. Some Tantric Ceremonies and Sexual-Shamanic Rituals may include energy-based penetration but physical penetration isn't offered.
Will we both be naked? Can I touch you?
The answers to these questions fall under the soft boundary category, which are boundaries that can move in the moment. Soft boundaries are chosen during the session in the moment as this is where the truth is found. The session is co-created depending how you and I feel in one another's company, how the energy dances between and through us, our shared needs and desires and always in the safety of respectful consent.
Do you give hand relief or oral sex?
No thank you. This is not a sexual service. Lingham massage (for men) and Yoni massage (for women) is offered, but neither carry a specific intention to cause climax and is a different experience compared to masturbation.
Will you dress up for me (or wear my favourite underwear)?
No thank you. This is not a sexual service, clothing isn't worn in order to titivate, but rather to honour my personal choices for that particular day.
Can I ejaculate/Climax?
If during the session, your body moves towards release organically as a response to what you are receiving then ejaculation (in men) or climax (in women) is welcomed as a beautiful form of expression and an offering of power/energy into the world. You will be supported in resisting using the mind to drive the pressure to ejaculate/climax, and from using the mind to drive the pressure to inhibit release (unless your choice is to practice non-ejaculation/climax). Your body and energy is given precedence over the mind. If by the end of the session you haven't had a release in the form of ejaculation/climax you will be taught a breathing technique or other strategy to support the body in softening and the retainment of your sexual energy within you ~ I do not offer hand relief.
What is Oral Honouring?
This is a beautiful way to honour your whole body and refers to the use of lips, tongue and breath to activate/cultivate the arousal of your kundalini energy and open your heart to the lovingness with which the honouring is given. Oral honouring in this context isn't the same as oral sex.
What time should I arrive for my appointment?
Please arrive at the appointed time, it is unlikely that I would be able to grant you entry into the venue if you arrive early. Please endeavour to let me know if you are running late.
How much do you charge?
You will find the details alongside session descriptions and on the "Payment Options" page
What is a Dakini or a Tantrika?
Based on my personal experience and conversations with those whom align with one or both of these terms, a simplified answer is that a Dakini is someone who aligns with the Tibetan Buddhist path and works with people for the sake of their liberation (for example freedom from self-limiting beliefs, from denial of our shadow, from denial of our strength). A Tantrika aligns with Tantrik spiritual paths which may be based in Hinduism, Taoism or Buddhism, and focuses on bringing integration and balance (for example by encouraging the acceptance of all aspects of ourselves, material/spiritual, masculine/feminine, dark/light) in order to bring one onto union with the Divine. Whether one aligns with the term Dakini or Tantrika their offerings could include supporting profound levels of pleasure to guide one into bliss states, encouraging the embodiment of freedom, supporting exploration in many facets of life, facilitating healing & remembrance of wholeness.
A Tantrika/Dakini is following a spiritual path and draws guidance from the central tenets of that path to support their entire life, not only to guide their work/offerings. Their offerings may or may not have a direct approach to sexual issues/explorations, their main role to teach through direct experience, the art of coming home to Self.
NB The desire to support the integration of the masculine/feminine forces of nature (as represented by Shiva/Shakti in some Tantrik traditions) has lead to the western world adopting a sexualised approach to Tantra (Neo-Tantra) which has further created confusion and the tendency for some sex-workers to adopt the term Tantra to market their work. Whilst not inherently "wrong" (as the left-hand path of Tantra is a spiritual approach that considers all aspects of life as sacred and worthy of inclusion), this "mis-use" of the word Tantra does create some difficulty in clients finding the appropriate Tantrika who aligns with their needs.
Many who call themselves Dakini or Tantrika are not aligned with a spiritual path; and many clients who search for a Tantrika or Dakini are truthfully looking for sexual services, most commonly a beautiful massage with hand-relief, and sometimes more than this. In my opinion there is nothing right/wrong, good/bad, shameful/honourable in this, it simply requires that we all bring as much truth and openness, and clear communication to ensure we find the people and experiences that best align with one another's needs/desires.
Why work with Kundalini Energy?
Your kundalini energy (which might be experienced as eros and/or arousal states but also has other expressions) is an aspect of your life-force energy, your primal power and the force that grants you life. Whether your life is one of survival and just about getting by or one of thriving and fulfilment is dependent on the health and flow of this vital energy. In sessions your Kundalini Energy is invited to be generated from within you, facilitated by meditation, breath, movement, sound, sensual touch, holding, massage, transmissions, guidance etc.
There are many reasons as to why one might feel drawn to work with this energy (as pointed towards on the Services page of my sister website) including for the purposes of healing, transformation, expansion into new levels of awareness, to facilitate the overcoming of crisis, radical reset, a return to centre, a remembrance of your wholeness and magnificence, and countless other meaningful-to-you purposes.
NB Kundalini Yoga is often referred to as "The Yoga of Awareness" because immersion in these practices refines Self-awareness (i.e the liberation of the small self through compassionate observation and understanding, into a state of recognising our true identity as the Higher Self and this Self as an expression of Oneness).
Are you A Yogini, Tantrika, Dakini or Shaman?
Out of a desire to honour the true lineages and origins of each of these terms, and to acknowledge the western habit of appropriation, I resist referring to myself as any of the above even though I have studied and hold "qualifications" that could align with their core practices. I have never been an aspirant devoted to a Guru, nor have I spent years learning scripture under the guidance of such a Guru. I am a western woman and have lived through my life's experiences growing in wisdom whilst simultaneously following my intuition and delving into the above wisdom traditions and other personal development models, holistic therapies and spiritual traditions. In this way I have moved myself from a position of disempowerment to one of empowerment and so my chosen terms for my work is "Empowerment Facilitation".
